The Solar System

The Solar System is the gravitationally bound system of the Sun and the objects that orbit it. It was formed about 4.6 billion years ago when a dense region of a molecular cloud collapsed, forming the Sun and a protoplanetary disc. The Sun is a typical star that maintains a balanced equilibrium by the fusion of hydrogen into helium at its core, releasing this energy from its outer photosphere. Astronomers classify it as a G-type main-sequence star.

The Solar  System  Consists of  the  sun and the Planets.  Mecury , Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Saturn, Neptune.  Pluto  is a dwarf  planet.

Archaeology Namibia

Archaeology is the study human activity through the recovery and analysis of material culture. The archaeological record consists of artifacts, architecture, biofacts and cultural landscapes. So today we are exploring  one of Namibia's World Heritage Sites- Twyfelfontein  The Twyfelfontein is a site of ancient rock engravings in the Kunene Region of North-Western Namibia. It is seen as a World Heritage Site  because it forms a coherent, extensive and high quality record of ritual practices relating to hunger-gatherer communities in this part of southern Africa over at least 2000 years and eloquently illustrates the links between the ritual and economic practices of hunter-gatherers.
