 REGIONAL GEOGRAPHY


- Physical features are natural landforms and water bodies of an area.

- The natural landforms include deserts, mountains and canyons.

- The bodies of water are the rivers, swamps, lakes.


Major rivers: 

Kavango River, Kunene River, Zambezi River, Orange River, Cuando River, Limpopo River.

- Deserts:

Namib Desert, Kalahari Desert, Karoo Desert.

- Swamps/pans. A swamp is a forested area (with plants) covered in water.

Okavango swamp, Etosha pan, Makgadikgadi pan, 

- Mountain:

Cape Mountain ranges, Drakensberg Mtn, Maluti Mtn, Thabana Ntlenyana Mtn.

Oil, coal, natural gas, metals, stone and sand are natural resources. Other natural resources are air, sunlight, soil and water
